Default Changing rear differential fluid

I am planning on changing the dif fluid this month in my coupe. Can anyone give me some suggestions on some ways to get the old fluid out, and how much new fluid I will have to purchase to replace it. Oh and how to you guys put the fluid back in, I read in the Haynes manuel to use a syringe. Any advice would be appreciated, I will being doing this on post at the craft shop, so I plan to call them and see if they have some type of suction device to get the old fluid out or if I will have to purchase something. Thanks, Hank

Yup, suction device is your only option if you don't want to split the rear of the case... I think it holds less than 2 qts. but I don't have my book handy.

Trog, I need to change mine soon too. How hard is it to suck the diff really clean?

Would it be worthwhile to go through two changes to dilute the old stuff that stayed in and get rid of more of it?

Take it out and get the rear hot first... comes out alot easier... and remember (2) bottles of post-track with each change... and its about 1 1/2qts per change...
