Default Tranny cooler question

I've noticed that shifts are much firmer when tranny is cold.
I was also reading here that installing tranny cooler is a good idea.

Now, two lines are going from trans to the front of the car and
into engine radiator. I was thinking to take this two lines out of
the radiator and install aditional cooler somewhere in the front
of the car.

Would this be O.K.?

Anybody here with tranny cooler, where and how did you install yours?

Would any engine oil cooler be good for this?

Your car already has a trans cooler installed as orig equipment. It is located in the radiator and that is why the two lines are going from your trans to the radiator.

If you've ever had to replace the tcc in the trans there is a chance that flow to the cooler may be obstructed to some degree by clutch material from the damaged/failed clutch. This is why when my torque converter was replaced, they also replaced trans cooler-- tech could not get flow through orig cooler to meet GM spec, so replaced it.

I know, but I was thinking of installing aftermarket cooler
that would be installed in place where it could get more fresh air
to keep trans temps even lower.

Difference in shifts with cold and hot trans is really big,
no matter if part throttle or WOT.
