Going to install, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator,,,, How do I do it? what kind of performance increase is expected?
How do I raise or lower the pressure?????????
1st you will have to take off the plenum and there are small vacuum lines attached to it so don;t forget to reatach or your car will run like crap 2nd you will see the regulator theres about 6or7 little like star srews it's been awhile since i did mine pop that one off reinstall the new one the same way. as far as adjusting it there should be a nut on top of the new regulator start the car pull the vacuum line off the regulator adjust the nut to lets say 38- 40 psi . i did'nt feel any performance but my car idled alot better .
The first thing to do is to measure current fuel pressure at idle with the vacuum line off the stock FPR and use this as your base setting for the AFPR.
An AFPR is a tuning tool and so may or may not result in increased performance at WOT. It all depends on the current A/F ratio at WOT.
You will raise/lower the fuel pressure with the adjusting nut atop the AFPR hat.
