Default Balancing question

Have to lower my compression ratio and am planing on making a small dish into my pistons (-7cc). My rotating parts are although already balanced. How does the equal weight reduction on all pistons influence the balancing?
The pistons don’t rotate so there should be no difference if the pistons have the same weight.
Do I have to balance the rotating parts again?

YES! They may not rotate, but they are attached TO the parts that rotate.

If a piston is not balanced, it could set up a harmonic thoughout the motor...

I typed a complete answer with a suggested alternative to this identical question in the engine mods section.

If you remove material from the pistons to give you your -7cc dish, yes you need to rebalance again. The bob weights are calculated for each crank throw. The bob weight is the total weight of the piston, rings, rod and rod bearings. Plus the rods are weighed at both ends and balanced that way, the pistons are typically all weighed then balanced to the lightest piston.

Thanks for the info.
I was thinking of getting LT4 heads with 58cc and taking 7cc out of the pistons. Since I have to balance again, I will leave the pistons as is, and get AFR heads with 65cc CC’s.
Thanks
Arnold
