why AFS A-molds ?
...Are they the cheapest, or is there quality/schedule good?
Are they the lightest of the aftermarket rims? (have heard conflicting weights here, but they seem to be 20-22 lbs for a 9.5" rim, close to stock).
Sounds clueless, but AFS is so popular here...

The quality is good, don't know about the weight.
I have used them for the last 4 years and I am satisfied with them.

For me it was the price, the sizing and, to some extent, the looks. Mine were cheap off ebay - $550 shipped. 17x9.5 and 17x11 spaced to fit my 87? Where do I sign up? Powdercoating is beautiful. Basically, what I paid for a set of AFS wheels is about what I would have paid for one CCW wheel, which many would consider the best wheel for Corvettes.

Lets set one thing straight shall we? :)
AFS = A Company
A-Mold = A Company
They just both happen to offer 5-spoke rims.

Weights are close to stock, but a bit heavier.
I just got them because they made 5-spoke GS rims that fit my year, and I wouldnt need spacers or OEM GS rims that cost a fortune.
I got mine within a couple weeks of order, there are alot of wheel weights though.

:iagree: Same on my 84. No spacers required for the proper offset
