I was organizing my list of favorites, and came across this link from Standard Abrasives. It's terrific reading for understanding the basics of engine block prep and the theory behind cylinder head porting........ a must read if for nothing else, just understanding how important air flow is to an engine's efficiency :cheers:

I agree, good info. Be careful though, you can kinda read through it and see the marketing behind it. What they really want you to do is buy their grinding kits. I would use that info as a guide, and maybe compare it to a reputable machine shop, or Lingenfelter's book on how to build small block chevy's. Giving a light radius to the top of the piston seems a bit odd to me, but I'm not an engine builder.
