I changed my turn signal flasher because it was having intermittent problems and It seemed to fix that. Now, I have no temperature display or setting. I also have no fan speed indication. I know now for a fact that someone has been in there before me because there are one or two connections that have been wrapped with electrical tape. Not factory looking at all. To top it off, I have no interior lights and when I push the dimmer all the way up to turn on the interior door lights the blower motor turns off. when i move the lever back to its normal position the blower motor fan comes on. :mad :mad :mad HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought this was to be simple. There is a relay under the passengers side knee area that keeps buzzing as if there was power to it. it won't stop buzzing until i move the dimmer switch all the way up as if to turn on the interior lights. I'm stumped as to what the heck is going on. I will spend a little more time with it tomorrow. IF NOT, DOWN TO THE VETTE SHOP IN TOWN. Lets hope not..... :( :skep:
I built a fiberglass body jeep and had an issue where the motor would crank when trying to start, but the electric fuel pump wouldn't run. But when I turned the key to the off position the fuel pump would run, and the park lights would light!!! It took 8 hours to figure out. I even unpluged the headlight switch and the park lights were still on!!!! the probleme was a bad ground to the dash ,I took a set of jumper cables one end on the neg. side and hooked the other end to a bit of wire and started hitting the ground side of things. Finaly hit the dash (which is metal) and problem solved.
You problably have the same problem , and if someone was in there before you than no telling where they picked up a ground
Check the ctsy light fuse. I remember taking mine out to do some work on the doors and forgetting to put it back. Had the same symptoms you have. Put it back in and all was well.
Well, the Vette was taken to the shop this A.M. Being as there was more than one electrical issue, I felt I would address all of them at once and hopefully have them resolved. I know it takes time to troubleshoot electrical circuits. Things of this nature, to me, are better not to be rushed. And would'nt you know it would be a dry, sunny day. Someone kick me in the shorts :smash: :smash: :smash:

Good News, It might only cost me about $500.00 for the electrical troubleshooting. MICKEY MOUSE somehow got in there before me and screwed up some of the wiring to my radio and rear window defroster. 5 hrs of labor so far. I hope I can get it back tomorrow, the sun is supposed to shine again :steering: :seeya :steering:
