Comp Cams tells me that the Dynagear double roller chain & gear set is actually better than the venerable Cloyes version. I can get the Dyangear from them for about $72. The Cloyes unit is almost $100.
Anyone have first hand knowledge, or an informed opinion?
Re: Anyone know about Dynagear double roller chains? (bradvette)
Don't know about the Dynagear unit, so I can't help you there, but the Cloyes one I just bought was $79 and fit fine for me, no clearance issues at all. I'm sure either one you go with would be better than your stock chain, mine had over 1/2" free play in it (measured between the gears) with only 40k on it.
