JUST A PASSING THOUGHT.......I HAVE A GRANATELLI MAF SENSOR THINKING ABOUT USING IT ON MY 94LT1 AS FOLLOWS.....PUT THAT PUPPY ON AND RUN IT FOR A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE THE ECM ADJUSTS TO THE INCREASE AIR FLOW ....I'LL JUST PULL THE BATTERY CABLE OFF FOR AWHILE AND JUST RESET THE ECM..AND START OVER AGAIN .......CAN I GET AWAY WITH THIS WITHOUT FRYING THE ECM. :conehead
You're going to be best off, IMO, disconnecting the battery as you mentioned for 30+ minutes to reset the ECM, and then installing the Granatelli. Remember that the ECM has to relearn the entire RPM and load condition (though the LT1/LT4s go to the WOT table at low throttle settings), so it may take a little while for everything to shake out.

 I think the mileage is stored in the MEM-CAL, this is allway's installed into the new/rebuilt ECM unless the mem-cal is the problem.
