My ps pump is noisy like it's low on fluid when it's cold, fine when it warms up. I am guessing the pump is going out. Is the pump replacement as hard as it looks? Has anyone done the Caprice pump swap that is listed in the tech section? I am wondering about the part number or the specific year Caprice.
Thanks
Harold

 May i suggest a simple fix, that should work. Should work that is, unless you have already done it!
Remove your existing Power steering fluid and replace with a synthetic fluid! I use and have used Amzoil ATF fluid. ATF fluid is a hydraulic fluid!
I started having little steering glitches, including " morning sickness" 4 years ago and swithched to the ATF, no problems since.
Us the old battery syringe or your wife's turkey baster...remove the old fluid from the reservoir, refill with synthetic, run it and turn the wheels a few times!
Jack I am going to try that. Nothing to loose! I don't think I can find Amsoil around here but I can find another top brand I am sure. Do you remember if you used Dextron rf do they even have different types in synthetic?
However, I have a hose leak too. If ATF is like motor oil, synthetic will make it worse. Have to bite the bullet and change the hose. That will be a good time to drain the fluid.
