My 1990 manual shows two 33 mf capacitors in the connector at the brake switch. I can see one of them and would easy to replace. The second one I do not see. If I want to add a second capacitor to an existing circuit do I have to wire it parallel or series? Thanks for your help
For my '89, one is in the connector (white wire from the switch to the hazard assembly) and the other is taped in the harness (orange wire from the hazard flasher). Section 8A-110 of your shop manual should give the location for your year.
They are wired in two seperate circuits. I can see on in my manual, that is not the concern Locating it in the wiring is a different story. I have a simple question I hope somebody knows the answer. When hooking a second capacitor into a single circuit, do you connect it in series or parallel. The answer could easily mean an hours worth of labor.
