I think the best (safest) way is to loosen the bolts at the manifold a little as well as those at the Y-pipe connection and maybe even where the front Y contacts the cat.

Then wedge a piece of metal between the pipe and the frame and tighten up the bolts. After all is tight, pry out the "spacer" and see if ther is now a small gap between the pipe and the frame.

You could always remove that header and have it bent a little but I don't know how the coating would hold up. Of course working out the above "spacer" may also mar the coating.

Does the 91 have the LT1 or L98?

I'm just wondering because I'm planning on getting a set of headers this summer. I decided to go with the TPIS headers but if they touch the frame I'll go with the hookers.

Does any one else here have the TPIS headers? are your headers touching the frame?

Mine fit fine...

Only thing I had to do was grind a bolt head flatter on the diagonal brace (passenger side).

It does get close to the fuel lines, but a little work before final install made that a non-issue.
