91 vette 6spd flywheel
is there a down side to a lighter flywheel i was thinking about changing it??? i know it will make noise with the clutch disengaged. also what is the good side????

I am going to send my zf 6 spd. to them to rebuild, and will most likely change out to an alum single mass.

The alum flywheel makes the tranny really rattle. People look at you at lights if you don't keep your foot on the clutch. They really look at you when you blip the throttle and that sound goes away and it revs like a ferrari!!

I've got an ultra light billet flywheel with a centerforce dual mass clutch and it is just aabout embarrasing the noise it makes but it's the price i pay to have a clutch/flywheel combo that will hold the motor and not slip. I bought this 91 with a clutch from tpis and it's a lightweight clutch they use for racing . It lasted 6weeks with my driving. But I drive like my heads on fire and my butt is catchin. :mad
