[video] It's ALIVE :D

It's alive and running pretty well. The idle is pretty low.. i need to program it up higher. After running it for a while, i think my ticking is a rocker now.

So... here are two videos... one from around the engine.. and the other from outside the garage. In the first one, you can hear the ticking a little bit. I think I am just going to buy a set of Pro Magnum rockers... i think now that it is the intake valve on #6.

That noise to me definitely sounds like a loose rocker.

p.s.

Yank the valve cover and see if you can fix it. If you start driving around high RPM can sometimes damage the valve tip if the rocker is slapping against it due to excessive clearence.

Yeah ... I torque them down to the correct specification, but i guess with the different cam it needs to be tighter. I think i'm going to get some pro magnums :D . Tomorrow i'll go out and try tightening down that rocker until the noise goes away.

How's the water pump drive seal - any leaks?

A little too much cam for me in that camaro. If that is a 306, I'm glad I backed down a couple of notches.

Haven't checked on the waterpump seal... i'll check it and the crank seal this afternoon . I think the 306 might be a little more tame than that cam... but a guy in our club had the 306 in his LT4 with 13.0:1 compression and DAYUM that thing was loud and had a lope to it... haha

I am puddling my fundage together as we speak for the lt4 heads and hot cam package. That cam sounds good in the vette, that Z sounds plain ole mean as hell. I cannot wait to tear my vette down and get a little lopey myself. Lookin like by march my 315s will be howlin for mercy :reddevil

not yet .... i had a buddy come over and he thinks it's an exhaust leak ... but it sounds a lot more metallic than that to me. I had a couple exhaust leaks with my headers... so i know what they sound like usually on my car.
