Default ZR1 collectable

Watching Barrett Jackson Auction last night. They had Brock yates on, i think he is from Car and Driver mag. He was asked about what cars he predicts will be the collectables of the future. He was hard pressed to come up w/ an answer but he said 2 and one was Corvette ZR1, I forgot what the other was.Time to start buying them up. Many bargains to be found out there. I was also surprised at how low the prices seemed to be. It is amazing that someone will spend 100k to restore a car and then sell it for 40k. One guy there bought like 3 cars, must be nice. I'll be watching the next few days. OH, they did sell Johnny Carsons 86 vette for I think like 10 or 11 k. It looked like it was in nice shape. Guy
Sorry, meant to put this in General area. Mods feel free to move, Thanks

I'd really like to get a ZR1, but mine wouldn't be too collectible after awhile..oh it would look nice, but it would have tons of miles on it :D

I'd drive it to death. And the whole collectibility thing would have me on a guilt trip for driving it a lot

But I would still drive it a lot. And fast, too. At a track of course

Just check out the prices on a 65 Pontiac GTO, That will floor you.
The ZR1 will be a collectable no matter the mileage.

When they get that old , milage doesn't seem to be a problem. They just do a frame-off resto and it is like new.

There's a '90 Zr1 in the Indianapolis wheels and deals this week for $17,995 with 82K miles.
