Default Still having problems

My 86 still won't run. It acts like it is not getting any gas. I changed the fuel filter today. It was plugged. What was unusual is there was no pressure when I broke the filter loose. I got probably got no more than a tablespoon of gas on the drive and I did not remove the fuse. Makes me wonder if the pump is bad. I looked all over to find a place to check the pressure. Can't seem to find it. Can some one explain where or how to check the fuel pressure.

Get a fuel pressure gage and attach it to the schrader valve on the fuel rail (looks like the valve on your tires to add air), it should be on pass side toward rear of engine under the intake plenum. Turn ignition on and check gage, pressure should be about 38 to 40 psi. If not cycle ignition a couple of times and recheck it. If no pressure try changing the fuel pump relay. If no pressure with the new relay, change the pump.
Hope this helps. If I missed anything guys chime in to help.......Mike

When you turn the key on, do you hear the fuel pump wine for a few seconds?

It's on the firewall behind the battery I think it's the one on the left. Feel it when you turn on the ignition, it should click momentarily.
