hi guys, I just bought a 95 6 speed car with 73000 on it, I test drove it and loved it. On the trip home, which was very long... 2800 miles it deveolped some significant shake at highway speeds. feels very tight at sub 50 mph and it is intermittent at highway speeds. its like the whole vibrates violently. it isnt always happening, and if the road is worse so is the condition. I dont have the first clue as to whats wrong, so hopefully someone can give me somewhere to start. thanks

Re: body shake, help!! (johnno!)
Sounds like you could possibly have a caliper dragging. I've felt them shake a car till I thought a wheel was fixing to fly off. Scary stuff, I'm sure you'll have it looked over real well first thing. Good luck and be careful!
thanks for the replys, I'll start with the wheel balance, one othe thing I noticed, it appears the engine has depevoled a bit of a shudder along with a slight power loss, so the vibration gets worse under low rpm/high load conditions IE 55-60 mph in 6th could this be the opti crapping out, or do they just fail all at once?
If youre used to driving a fairly stiff car you could be experiencing thefamous c4 body shake. After i drive my olds aurors my 93 always feels like its gonna fallapart when i go over rough roads.. it just has so much flex. like a wet noodle.
