I just pulled the water pump...
So....
How much more work would it take to pull the motor?
Since almost everything is disconnected.

 , you're kidding right, though it seems like half the stuff is disconnected up front.
Someone should slap the GM engineer that designed the L98 front accessory brace setup, right.

I'd say you have quite a ways to go... Why do you want to pull the motor?

Well, since you leave the accessories and such on the car when you pull it out I would guess that you haven't really made a dent in that process.

My first motor took me 6 hours to pull by myself. But it didn't have half the garbage the C4 has on it.
Is it really that hard to get to the water pump on the C4? I'm getting ready to do a cam swap (along with the pump) this weekend. Am I in for it?

Re: I just pulled the water pump... (GlockLT4)
I've had a set of problems with this motor since I owned it. I could erase all my problem this by dropping in a 383 or 396 and introduce new problems :D
I was going to replace the transmission while I was at it :D
The only thing thats holding me back is the unknown. Never pull a motor in my life.
Im sure if I pull one motor it will not be long before my Firebird gets a new motor also :D
