Default LT1 PS Leak?

My '92 has always had a slight loss of power steering fluid that hasn't really bothered me. However, after sitting about six weeks, it's now leaking enough that there's a large puddle under the car.

I can't see where it's leaking from by looking at the top of the engine, but it's dry around the reservoir and the PS cooler (the car is a Z07). It seems to be coming from somewhere down low and close to the engine (PS pump?). Unfortunately I don't have the facilities to look under the car.

Are there any common places for PS leaks, and how difficult are they to fix? Thanks for any suggestions!

Possibly somewhere around the inlet lines, or the housing. This tech tip post really makes you think.

My '95 has a slight loss also. So slight, in fact, when I had it looed at by the dealer shop while the car still had GMPP on it, they claimed it wasn't leaking. But I get a small about 1" diameter oily residue under the car. Not enough to get finger very wet but enough to shine on the garage floor.

Oh boy, I hope I don't have those issues! The car has 120,000 miles, so I think it's probably just a hose or seal that's gotten old.

Lone Ranger, I think mine was a little worse than what you describe, and it got a lot worse very quickly! Make sure you drive yours, don't let it sit!
