When replacing the starter I hit the electrical plugin for the knock sensor, the brittle plastic housing crumbled and I can't get to stay attached, is there a replacement available? If so where and an idea of the cost?
Re: Plug In for Knock Sensor Broke! HELP (ROCKY85)
Which side is it on, the sensor or the wiring harness? http://www.rockauto.com has a pretty complete parts listing, adn usually has the plug pigtails available for sale for various sensors. Knock sensor would be under category of emissions i think...
Re: Plug In for Knock Sensor Broke! HELP (ROCKY85)
Many parts houses have these kind of parts available. I'd bet the dealer does too, maybe even in stock. I broke the "pin" off mine and got it from an independent parts house that does machine work. Had to get it in a box of five I think but it was cheap and they got it in the next day so it was local.
There are "special" tools required to use a lot of this stuff, but if you use your imagination you can get around that. Go for it. :smash:
