What kind of cams are we installing? I have a stock L98 right now.
Would any cam change necessitate mods to the chip? What kind? Is a cam worth the effort in performance gains?

Re: cam choice (Vett-eight-nine)
I'll let others advise you on cam choice for an L98 and programming. But to answer your other question, yes, the right cam is definitely worth the effort!
You need a long term plan before just changing a cam, you need to decide on whether you want to keep the TPI intake or are willing to switch to Superram. If you have a 6speed, you could also consider the Miniram.
Any cam thats much different from stock requires a PROM reprogram.
A cam is worth the effort, if you have done your research and put together the right combination to go with it.

:iagree: A cam is a necessity, but it will never reach it's full potential unless you also match heads, intake, and exhaust to work with it.
