Currently i'm having problems with my airco pump, bearing seems to be at it's end of life. Now I'm driving a '86 Convertible and the use of an airco is not very clear to me. I've never even used it.
So here it is. Do I replace the airco pump and refil the system? Or do I remove everything, airco and airpump since I don't have any Cat's installed anymore.
Then my question, how to and what kind of belt do I use  since without air- and airco pump I will need a new belt, type and length. And if possible please advise on how to.
Re: replace airco pump or remove air- and airco??? (JP's C4)
As far as I know you have to get idler pullies to replace your air condititioning as well as air pump. You just can't route the belt properly without them. There are a number of people selling air pump delete kits, and I have also seen AC delete stuff on Ebay.
