I just replaced my booster not 1000 miles ago, and I don't want to have to do it again.

Ain't life fun.......
I bought mine from O'Reilly's (plastic too) with a lifetime warranty: $111.95 + tax, exchange ($25.00 core charge which was refundable.)
Not a big deal changing it out except getting to one of the nuts from under the dash.
I intend to add a heat shield too (long tube TPIS headers) just in case heat is the cause.

:)
for liability reasons, the answer is obviously NO.
i have a new booster but have not yet installed it. in the meantime i liberally applied a tube of RTV, completely covering the crack, and let it dry. this was over a month ago, and it has held fine since then.

It's a vacuum resevoir so the crack is in compression with very low stress.
If one were to clean and abrade the area around the crack and stick on a couple layers of glass cloth with the right stuff (epoxy, most likely ) it could end up stronger than new where it cracked.
That wouldn't do anything for the fact that the plastic resevoir is old and heat abused. If you put a heat shield on it, it might give you several more years service, or not.
The decision is yours. Your repair will be less reliable than a new resevoir, and probably more reliable than the resevoir you were driving with the last couple of years before it cracked.
What the worst thing that happens if it cracks again? Can you stop the car fast enough with no vacuum boost? Depends on the driver and the car.
