Absolutely everything in the engine bay.
Then a new front spring because the LS1 removes a couple hundred pounds from the front, and thus your stock spring being so stiff, it makes your nose jump up a couple more inches off the ground.
Then a new computer.
Take a look at thirdgen.org they may be able to give you some ideas. While the swaps are in F-bodys they have been done several times and I found a lot of good information that helped with my LT1 swap. The LS1 is going to be a bit more complicated then a LT1 because the block is not in a standard SBC format. Even though the LT1 is diferent in a lot of ways the motor mounts and most of the hardware was in the same basic location as any other SBC. If you where asking about a LT1 swap I could help more and actualy have all the conversion parts you would need for sale but on the LS1 I recomend you check out the third gen site because they actualy have a forum dedicated to engine swaps incuding the LS1.
A while back there as a place in California doing the complete swap plus tuning and everything supposedly like 425hp or something like that. For engine and all plus install and tuning like $9k.
Ima do it myself though, i knwo new computer, not worried abouttht, the c4's did have computers right? im mostly worried about motor mounts, and a place to mak me custom headers.
Yes the C4s have a ECM but the wiring will not work with the LS1 you will have to use a LS1 harness (at leats on the motor) and intigrate it into your existing harness or make it stand alone for the motor and if you have an auto you will need to work out your lock up. From what I have seen with the LS1 swaps into the F-bodys you are going to have to fabracate the motor mounts.
No camaros and firebirds are f-bodys and corvettes are Y-bodys. A LS1 harness will not plug into your dash or anything else on your car. You will have to make or have someone make a harness that either is stand alone or due a lot of wiring your self. I did the LT1 conversion in my 84 and did all of thewiring my self and it took about three days and I marked every wire when removing the old harness and the LT1 harness.
