just thought i'd ask even tho it isnt too bad. i notice that sometimes when i first get in my car, ie its cold, that if i accelerate rapidly, the front end shakes and all that jazz. the wheel vibrates and i can feel the car rattling. mind you it isnt real bad and any passenger prob wouldnt notice, but i do and i'd like to know what it is. any ideas? i know my alignment is good, and tires are wearin even and straight. anybody know what could be the prob. and if you do can you tell me how to fix it? thanks so much

Re: front end flop (Clemson Vette)
If it only does it for the first couple of miles or so and then it's okay, that's about all it could be. High performance tires are especially susceptible to this. Mine does it even in warm weather first thing in the morning. It's possible if you had something like loose tie rod ends that you might notice it even more. And BTW for future reference, bad alignment by itself cannot cause a vibration.
Yeah, I had a set of Sumitomo's that did that only all the time. I got some Michelin Pilot Sports and a good alignment and the prob is gone. 315/35-17ZR's ROCK! But $1400!
And BTW for future reference, bad alignment by itself cannot cause a vibration.
Please pass the roach, i could use a hit. :yesnod:
It could be anything....
1. Cold tires
2. Bad balancing
3. Bad alignment
4. Bad wheel bearing
5. Bad bushings.
If it is only for a few miles then your tires are cold and need to warm up. Very common up here in new england to have a shaky ride when in really cold temps until you've got quite a few miles.
