Just got new injectors in the '90. Put everything back together. Does not run. I also replaced spark plugs and O2 sensor. Now, when i first got it back together, I could get the fuel pump to prime, held pressure just fine. But since it wouldnt run i started to dig around i the wiring around the ECM and distributor. Now, when i turn on the ignition, i get no SES light, no ALDl's (codes), and i don't hear the fuel pump running. I noticed that my fuel inj. fuses had been blown, so i replaced those. I am still getting power to the ecm, although the volts show a -11.6ish, The inj.the pass. side are getting almost 12v of power, but the drivers side injectors show like a -0.18 for power. Where oh where did i go wrong?
Well I Don't really know what i did, but it all is working now. I pulled the connectors off the ECM and measured voltage. Now the thing works. I guess what worries me is that its probably a loose wire somewhere that may or may not manifest itself in the future. Probably while I'm out in rush hour somewhere and cause a major traffic jam. Now i have to get the idle dialed in. It seems to be having touble with the new plugs, O2, and injectors.
I'm gonna have to do some investigating. I replaced my IAC about a month ago for the same symptoms I'm having now. Car idles fine, but when i am driving and left off completely on the accelerator, the rpm's just die off. It's like my IAC isnt keeping up. The engine is holding vacuum well. Should the PCV off the side of the throttle body supposed to always have vacuum? The PCV on the drivers side has vacuum, there's a loud woosh sound when you pull both, but the pass. side doesn't have any actual vacuum coming from the TB. Is this normal??
