strange result when battery connected
When replacing battery the instant I connected the negative cable my alarm started and the vetted started. No keys in the ignition either. What's up with that? I had half expected the alarm,but not the vette starting !!!

As suggested, the ignition switch is the prime suspect. It represents the power source for both sides of the start enable relay. Somehow voltage is getting to the control side of the starter solenoid.
Was there any other work done to the car other than battery replacement?
Any aftermarket install items?
