Recently when driving the Vet there has been alot of rumbling "exhaust" noise coming from under the car at high RPM's (about 2000+). When cruising on the highway at about 60-70mph with the cruise control enguaged, after about 30 mins. the "Service Engine Soon" comes on and if I accelerate or decelarate the "Service Engine Soon" light goes out. I pulled the codes a while ago and it had something to do with the O2 sensor. Is the cat clogged? What could it be? Thanx everyone!

Re: Loud exhaust. WHY!?!?! (C490Vette)
Is the code for high IAT temp??? If so you could have a clogged cat... It happened to me on my old 88 IROC with TPI setup... The clogged cat didn't make any noise in my car, but it did cause high backpressure which forced the EGR valve to stay open accounting for the high IAT code...

:iagree: seen it many times on many different types of cars. usually when you accelerate and the light goes out , it has something to do w/ egr.
