1988 air pump ?

need new air pump fo my 1988 corvette, was wondering about the pulley replacement part sold in the ecklers catalog.
i live in ny, will i have a problem passing emission sniff test.
also what does that pump actually do.

IF you need an air pump I am planning on eliminating mine. I could probably ship mine over to you for cheaper then whatever a new one costs.

I remember someone getting rebuilt pump for like $40 bucks.
Check it out if there are smog nazzis where you live.

:iagree: :lol: And even if there are and you go with a Air Pump Eliminator pulley, keep an Air Pump on had. Just swap it back on for emissions testing. It's not very difficult.

If you need an air pump . brand new...fit my 89.....well ok less then 150miles on it :) .. or a used one from my 87.. i replaced mine with an air pump eliminator kit ! :D :D on both !
