Default Oil filter adapter conversion?

Alright, the 7-qt. oil pan and my 93 LT1 oil filter are not cooperating. I thought it was good but it is a tight fit and it is leaking oil, so I want to convert to the earlier type of adapter which does not tuck into the block. What parts do I need for this? I looked on CorvetteCentral but the illustrations look a little confusing. Any part numbers or links would help.

Well, if anyone is interested, they key was to use an adapter from an '87 vette which I got at a chevy dealership, the stock gasket, (2)1 1/4 inch bolts, and a PF30 oil filter. It fits perfectly with the 7qt. pan and long-tubes I have. No more oil leak from the filter being pressed up against the pan.

Hmmm. I don't know what pan you are using. My Canton comes real close to the filter, but doesn't touch it. I can still slide my filter tool that goes onto the 3/8 drive ratchet onto the end of the filter. The tool rubs the pan though. I have another adapter laying around in my pile of parts but didn't know what filter to use. It would basically be the size to replace the filter adapter.
