Beam plate installation question.
My C4 beam plates are on order (thanks for organizing the group order Stick).
The beam plate installation instructions referenced in Stricks beam plate order announcement don't mention applying any sealant around the contact surface between the beam and transmission and beam and differential.
The shop manual does say to apply sealant. (4A-7 fig 7)
What purpose does the sealant serve and is it necessary?
