Default Looking at some used heads need some advice...

Im talking with someone who has a set of used LT1 heads. They arent cheap at $1000 and im not guru on such things. They are GM heads that have been ported by a Total Engine Airflow. Desribed as there full effort heads.

What should i look out for? Are used heads a good idea? What things should i ask about? If any one can shed some light on the flow rates if that good for what im looking for.

Im looking top eventually have about 425 at the crank and drive it on the street. Im not looking for a 1/4 mile type but more a road race setup as i live on the coast and the ccars a Z07 and is a blast to drive on the twisties around here.

they flow:
lift intake exhaust

.100 60 55
.200 125 111
.300 187 155
.400 230 187
.500 263 207
.550 271 211
.600 268 215

Thanks

An important parameter with head porting is how much have the port volumes been increased. Ask what was original port volume and what is it now.
