L98 Cam
I've jotted down the L98 cam specs from awhile ago but wanted to confirm them as Duration @ 0.050", 202*/206*, lift .403/.415 , Lobe seperation 115 degrees. Can anybody chime in and verify? TIA :chevy

Re: L98 Cam (GRX)
I don't have the dwell or LSA on the cam in a '85 Vette but max valve lift with the stock cam is .410"/.423"=int/exh with 1.5:1 rockers.

Re: L98 Cam (GRX)
No those numbers above are for the L98 in an '85 Vette; I have a '85 Vette GM Shop Manual but it only had lift numbers.
The cam in my '88 Vette is:
Lift=.410"/.423", Dur=211/219@.050” (int./exh.), LSA=117
Now that you mention it I see that both my '85 Corvette GM Shop Manual and my '88 Corvette GM Shop Manual list their respective year's cam lift as: .2733"/.2820"=int/exh.
Hmmm, very strange considering that the '85 cam was hydraulic whereas my '88 is a roller.

Re: L98 Cam (vader86)
The GM Shop Manual for the 1986 doesn't give a lot of details for the camshaft but it does show lobe lift.
The GM specs are +/- .002 for lobe lift and are listed in the manual as:
.2733 intake
.2820 exhaust
At the listed specs using 1.5 rockers it works out to:
intake lift is .40995
exhaust lift is .423
At .2713 lobe lift (minimum spec) it's .40695
At .2800 lobe lift (minimum spec) it's .420
At .2753 lobe lift (maximum spec) it's .41295
At .2840 lobe lift (maximum spec) it's .426
Sorry, there's no listing for duration or LSA. Hope I did the math right.
