I've seen the Universal Magnaflow X-pipes go for farely cheap prices, and I was wondering if anyone has used one?
I am thinking about puting one in place of my stock resonator. Has anyone done this mod to their stock exhaust? I am running bullet mufflers, but the rest of the system is stock.
Just want some input because I think I can maybe do this for around $100 give or take a few.
I had the Magnaflow x-pipe installed in place of the resonator on the Corsa catback. I had ta local muffler shop make the extensions for the exhaust pipes. I love the sound - very deep and throaty.
Stock size is 2.75"... I am also wondering what to do about that. I want to put the X-pipe in there and get the Magnaflow mufflers for the back....
If your going with Magnaflow stuff call Dean at performance peddler 866-399-4215 he'll hook you up. They are the same people selling on e-bay but you can get a better price if you call in person. He can also answer a lot of tech. questions. Tell him you are on the corvette forum and he'll look out for you.
I just got my Magnaflow mufflers from him for $335.00 delivered. I got him to give everyone on this forum the same deal. Not sure about the X pipe though, if it is performance peddler selling it on e-bay $50.00 he might not be able to do better than that on the whole.
TM-96CE, Did you put the X-pipe on at the same time you put on the rest of the system? If not, can you (or anyone else) describe how much the sound changed when you added the X-pipe?
