LT-1 Flywheel Bolt Threadlocker
OK, the shop (Helms) manual says to use Loctite 262 on the flywheel bolts. Looking on Loctite's website, 262 is listed in the "permanent" threadlocker category, requiring localized heat and hand tools for removal. When I removed the flywheel bolts, I sure didn't need any heat (and I can't envision how one would apply heat without pulling the crank with the flywheel still attached). The desire to keep the flywheel bolts in place is obvious, but a "permanent" threadlocker seems a bit much for this application.
What if anything have you used and/or would you recommend for threadlocker on the flywheel bolts?
