Default Clutch question

I have noticed that when i really nail the throttle and shift, that as I let out the clutch, it feels like it just doesnt engage. It does, but feels like I'm riding it, and its fully out. I suppose its going bad. Doesnt feel like it engages fully. Anyway to trouble shoot this? I haven't pulled out the serivce manual yet, I thought I'd ask the pro's here first.

Do you notice an RPM increase with no increase in speed? That would be indicative of a slipping clutch.

I'm finishing up my clutch swap now. My symtoms were slippage at 3rd gear as I went to WOT. I had an oil leak and the clutch eventually got oiled down. Once it has oil on it, it's toast. So, the first thing I suggest is look for an oil leak and fix it first, then do the clutch. If no oil leaks, check the clutch fluid level. Low fluid would indicate wear on the clutch. Also, look for clutch fluid leaks. How many miles on it and do you hammer it a lot?

Its hard to tell. I notice it for sure in second and third gear. It really just feels like when you are letting the clutch out in first, and are riding it a bit. I definitely get rpms, and not the pull i feel i should be feeling. Now, i do have an oil leak that i am trying to pin down. i have some dye going through right now and will have it on the lift with a black light in the next few days. Car has 180k on it, no clue if this is the original equipt or not. there is oil around that whole area, and the deal that hold my clutch fluid is currently on the low line. I could have multiple issues...

Well, it's a good time to work everything out. Fix the leaks and then the clutch. Don't slip the clutch too much as heat will hurt your flywheel.
