I got a set of super cheap new LS1 28# injectors, confused about the rating on them. I found a few sites that say they are 28# @43.5 psi but am also hearing that they are 28# @ 50+psi because that's how the LS1's run them?? Heard some say no they are more like 26#, so what are they? Do i set the adj reg to 50+ and set the inj at 28# in the ecm or keep em at 43.5psi and call them ????
I believe they're 28.8 lbs/hr @ 4 bar (58psi). Since that's the stock fuel presure on LS1s. @ 3 bar (43.5psi) they would be 25 lbs/hr. If you bumped up pressure 5psi to 48.5psi that would make those injectors 26.34 lbs/hr. And I think some L98s run 39 psi so that would makes those 23.62 lbs/hr.
Either way that should be plenty for what you have right now. Good luck
EDIT - yeah you could keep them at 3bar and tell the ECM they're 25 lb injectors, and that would be plenty of fuel :yesnod: The lb/hr all depends on fuel pressure. Since they're LS1s we know they must be 58psi.
Well i was curious what they would say (first link) so i emailed them. Suprised they responded so quick.
"The ratings on our page are correct.
LS1 injectors come in 19# 24# and 28# @ 43.5PSI."
( i thought they only came in 26 and 28# sizes for the LS1)
So i can only assume set the adj reg to 43.5psi and the injector constant to 28# and all is well  If this is the case LS1's are really running 32# injectors. At any rate glad all 8 brand new injectors cost about the same as one of there used injectors.
Yeah, I've been to both sites, and wondered what's the deal. Well you'll find out what the injectors are very soon. I'm going to go digging for some more information.
Well, gotta finish my ****** first :( so it will be some time before i get to it, it's in a few pieces right now, I'm gathering that this person flow test them and he's telling me 28# @43.5psi so i'm confused from what i'm hearing from the LS1 guys  If i could find the time i could make my own flow bench, pretty easy to do
