Code 45
While cruising at a constant highway speed for atleast 10 min. or more, I get a check engine light. The light goes out almost imediatly after accelerating or decelerating. I pulled the codes and get an error code of 45, Rich Exhaust present. What exactly does that mean and what do I have to do to fix it? The website where I read about the codes says to "check evaporative charcoal canister for smell of fuel (which normally comes from filling fuel tank to full). check fuel pressure regulator. Possible leaking fuel injector or sticking/bad EGR valve. Possible bad Oxygen sensor." I do get quite a fuel smell when the car first starts up. Any clues on which of the possible problems listed above could be causing the code? Thanx!

Mine came up this way too. I replaced the O2 sensor, egr valve (code came up too) and there was definitely a bad injector involved. Now I have to see about emissions again which it failed horribly first time around. Good luck.
