GM Performance now has a motor called ZZ383/425. And as you can guess its a 383 with 425 hp. My question is, since it comes with fast burn head, do they make a SR for use with FB heads or will I have to look for another intake if I decide to get this crate motor. Yes, but if you're looking for no fitment problems, the super ram may not be to your liking. I've never installed one, but it seems that many on this forum dread removing/installing the SR.
A serach for super ram install should bring up a few posts. scorp has some excellent suggestions on making the install as painless as possible.
Hopefully someone who's done this combo will chime in.

In this month's Corvette Fever, they discuss a new cast iron head from GM that would allow you to use both Gen 1 and Vortech intakes. The article is on pg 37. The Part numbers for these heads are 25534351 (165cc/64cc) and 25534371 (206cc/77cc). I'm not sure if these are the heads on that new ZZ383, but maybe with these heads, you could use the matching SR intake base instead of the Scoggin Dickey one.

Good luck,

Yeah, Corvette Fever is where I saw the engine first. I was just wondering if they offered the SR in a FB head configuration, it sure would make it alot easier. Anyway, thanks for the reply
