Is there anywhere I can find torque specs for various bolts/parts?
In particular(1987) I am curious what torque rating for the front stabilizer bolts should be at? I'm talking about the bar directly above the battery.
Thanks..
I'd shoot you a number, but I can't think of a "stabilizer" above the battery. About all I have above my battery is the hood latch and the cruise servo. Good luck, and...

RACE ON!!!
 The $100 or so for the shop manual is a good investment!
Not trying to be funny :D But if you have a stabilizer bar above the battery! you have been through a heck of a wreck  :D

Re: torque specs...newbie (Barrm)
I think he's talking about the square brace that adds a little triangulation to the cowl area. I don't know the torques off-hand but I can look them up tomorrow when I go back out to the garage. Tell me what size wrench tightens them and I can probably get you in the ball park. Ditto on the factory manuals too. It's the ONLY place you're liable to find specs like this.
