Default MaStach cable ?

('93 LT1 stock computer stuff with PCMforless chip) I got my cable in, and rather than an ALDL connector, it has four pins and a serial port on the other side. I hooked the serial port up to my computer and then the two pins the instructions said to, to my ALDL connector pins A and M. I tried to test it and nothing, the tests all failed. Frustrated I tested the computer on my bike(power commander-9-pin com port) and now that does not appear to work anymore. Seing as I might have fried my com port somehow, I want to make sure I have the pin setting correct before I go and mess up another laptop. The two wires I hooked up were 8192bps DATA(+) to pin M(9) and the GND(ground)(-) to pin A(5). This all I need hooked up to scan, correct?

Never mind, found the problem, apparently the ALDL test program was running the whole time but not shown on the active desktop. This was keeping the Com port busy not allowing further communications, i.e. a second run of the test program.

Now I have scanned my ECM, just need to figure out what all these numbers mean :D
