Default Power windows & power mirrors

I imported a nice Polo green 94 coupe from Scottsdale, Az into British Columbia this past fall. The car must be going through shock with the wet winter weather we have here. I have a problem with the driver side power window and the passanger side power mirror. Any suggestions to repair these problems is appreciated.

The drivers side window decided to stop working halfway open, but the passanger side still works properly. Also, the passanger side mirror quit working, but I can still hear the motor working when I try to adjust it. Does anyone have experience or suggestions I could try.

The fuses are all OK. Could the circut breaker be a problem with the window?

Is it possible to remove the mirror (glass) without removing the entire unit? It seems like something is disengaged from the reflective part of the mirror since the motor seems to move.

Thank you in advance.

If the window motor is running the problem must be in the regulator. It is either broken from the drive or the moror is bad.

You can pop the mirror off the control mechanism by moving it (manually) to an extreme and prying from behind a copla fingers. The mirror is held to the drive by an "X" trunion.
