Unless you have Nitto's on the front of your car, get the BF Goodrich Drag Radials. I'm not all that impressed with the Nitto's - the only reason I got them is I have Nitto's all the way around already and though I might try them since I like the regular NT555's.

are you running the 555 r's or just 555 regulars? I hear the R's are supposed to be great, but I'll check out your advice also.......thanks

I have the regular 555's for everyday and a set of the R's(Drag Radials) for the track. The regular 555's are awesome tires. I've got approx 28,000 on the fronts and about 24,000 on the rears and they aren't done in yet.

The drag radials you don't want to drive in the rain with otherwise I would just run them all the time.

Funny you should ask this...I just bought 315-35-17 Nitto 555 Extreme Drag radials...they were delivered to my tire installer and mounted this afternoon...I got them from Tires.com which is the same as Discount Tires Direct...the price, including delivery, was $350.00...the best I found anywhere...I dealt with Kevin..good guy....

I have only heat cycled them one time so far...I'll get two more heat cycles on them over the weekend...then I can do some launches and see how they hook...Tires.com will heat cycle them on their machine for you so they are ready to run when you get them..costs an extra $15.00 per tire... good luck

:iagree:

I run Nitto drags and think they are great in the rain. I don't drive aggressively in rain or anything but I can accelerate swiftly without them breaking loose like the old street tires would do even in the dry.

I have resently bought a set of 315/35/315 drag radials tires from them and it was the best deal out there. Make sure you let them run a heat cycle for a extra $15 a tire, It will make them wear better. With the heat cycle it cost me a total of $400 and that includes shipping. I received the tires 3 days after payment!

I think a lot of the problem people see in the rain is the centers of the tires wear out a lot quicker than the outside. So they look like there is plenty of wear left, but the center section is slick. Once the center is worn down like that, they are pretty scary in the rain. Out of the box, they are great in the rain. :yesnod:

i'll only be using them at the track for the few timest that I will go. I am also going to look at bfg dr's. I wanted true slicks but seeing that nothing will fit on my 11's I guess DR's are my only alternative. Thanks everyone for the responses. I'll let you know what my final decision once I figure out what the final $$ will be

If your only going to use them at the track buy Bfg's. The nittos are good everyday driver tires but do not hook like the bfgs at the track. I have run both and this is my opinion. The bfgs hook almost as good as et streets.

I love my Nittos that I have out back. They are 315/35 17 555r's. They are ok in the rain but I try to be careful anyways. They give me great traction at the track and on the street. $350 delivery sounds like a good deal as well

You'll love em
