I was lookin at new Summit Catalog and noticed that some companies offer stepped or flat hardened pushrod guide plates. Not knowing why there is a difference, maybe someone can enlighten me. I am guessing that the stepped ones guide the pushrod to less wobble closer to the rocker arms. Is this desirable? The stock ones on it now (that I have been told are just for GM assembly and not for Comp Cams Magnum roller rockers) are flat. Do my GM stock D113 heads have screw in studs? Thanks for the info, as always...

Re: Pushrod Guideplates Stepped or NOT??? (corvette1990)
I used the Comp Cams raised hardened guide plates with my ProMagums as they are closer to the rocker arms and I felt that would give better guidence.
You will also need some hardened push rods for roller cams as well as a little light assembly lube for the ends of the push rods, sides of the push rods and tips of the valve stems.

You're quite welcome.
I too still run the Level-10 PTS-3 in the IROC but have found a good shop in CT, Grant Transmission, that built a great A4 in the Vette for about $600 less than Level-10.
