Default Retard control for N20 use?

I currently have a MSD 6AL with a MSD window switch connected (for the N20) and I was looking at the MSD PN 8982 for a single stage retard.

http://www.msdignition.com/tc_7.htm

I know that I could go to a Digital 6+, but I've heard of some reliability issues with the unit. Is anyone using the above unit and do I need the startup retard (or can I disable it)?

Thanks! :)

I have one of those that I replaced with a three stage unit. Works great, and had no reliability issues with it.

The one people have a problem with is the MSD Digital 6.
