700r4 won't shift
So I have a pickup truck with a 700r4 that seemed fine until suddently it decided it wasn't going to downshift from 3rd gear. So I was driving home and noticed it never shifted while I was accelerating (and of course it drove like crap). So then once I got home the next day I tried to start it and it would shift out of drive (gear shift in N or R still tried to pull forward even though it couldn't move). Any transmission gurus out there who have an idea what this is before I decide to pull the tranny to rebuild it. It seems like a valve body issue to me. The transmission fluid looks OK as it's still reddish and clear but I know that doesn't always mean anything. Thanks.
