ok, ive been reading lately about injectors here in the forum being changed or going bad etc......first my car is a 1994 with 40,000 miles....the cars been running great but the idle is has just a hint of a miss...(real picky but it is there) today i was driving my daughter home to college about 40 minutes away car ran great(as it has been) ...i shut the car off and headed home, when i got on the entrance to the highway i booted it and it sputtered and coughed and i heard some pinging.....it ran fine when i just gave it a little throttle but bucked etc, when i tried to give it half throttle or more....this continued for several miles then after repeated booting it , it cleared up and ran ok...i did notice that my instant mpg readings were very high even when the car seemed to be running ok...i cleared the fuel settings and when i got home my average mpg was 39mpg for a 15 mile highway city drive:confused:
i dont have any code faults and i tested all the injectors with an ohm meter and got 13.0 on all of them except one wich was 12.8 (i dont see that as a problem)
ok guys , now that ive bored you all to death, please give a biker your knowledge on what the heck is going on...
Re: another bad injector problem...or ??????? (gsxrjack)
Your 94 model did not come stock with the problem, Rochester Multec injectors! Good news for you and sounds like you have an intermittent electrical problem. These are darn hard to find! Good luck.

Re: another bad injector problem...or ??????? (HeeHaw89)
i also remember reading in here (cant find post) that a bad injector will give an outragous instant mpg reading and i did see up to 60 mpg at around 50 mph...cant remember the posts though
Re: another bad injector problem...or ??????? (HammerDown)
to answer the above post, its just a little miss (could be normal idle for all i know) but it feels like a slight stumble thats all...
ok, i guess saying i got no codes at the beginning was wrong on my part...im getting a code h72(which i have had since i got my transmission filter/fluid change and never had a problem with the car with that code) but the other code im getting is h62 (engine oil temp circuit-high temp indicated) now i disconnected the battery and took the car for a spin, ran fine, although it did spit and was hard starting after the battery was reconnected, brought it back and still have the 2 codes 62 and 72....car is running fine and i watched the oil temp and it was fine on the panel and on the speeedo.....
