My '90 had an ocassional minor shudder when shifting into OD. A "friend" said it need a TV cable adjustment, which he did. Free. I got my money's worth. Now the car is slipping in 3 & 4, and not shifting properly in general.
I checked the oil when I got home, and yes, it smells fried. I picked up a filter and pan gasket set along with some oil. But before I crawl under in the dirt, does any of this sound familiar, and does anyone have any tips/advice? I there a "right" way to adjust the TV cable? Is a trip to AMPCO Transmissions for a "power-flush" worth the trip?
