I'm sure someone has. I'm not sure the gains would be worth the effort on a daily driver. Heck, our plugs are hard enough to change as it is. You may want to try the "cut back" method. It exposes more spark to the fuel mixture than the standard plug gap. Do a search for cut back plugs. 65Z01 has the method on his site.

Don't know about the clearances to get to the plugs on an L98, but on an LT1 indexing the plugs would be an unholy and hellish experience in frustration, with numerous abrasions to the arms, wrists, and hands, as well as the immediate vicinity being awash with profanity and tools being thrown.
At least if I tried it would be.
