Convert auto HVAC to manual
My automatic HVAC is on the fritz. Can I convert to manual (base) sytem with just a head swap, or am I in deep ____ with this idea?

I would think your in deep doo with that conversion.
the 2 systems, to the best of my knowledge, are more different than alike. The temp mixers are mechanical.
for the $$$, I would get a used, or, try to fix, the auto unit. Someone said that if you take the programmer apart, the contacts are easily cleaned. apparently, dirt and such cause quite a bit of the troubles with those units.
